Youngblood, Grove expected to endorse Tulare Sheriff Mike Boudreaux over Vince Fong in CD-20 race

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — An unexpected announcement regarding the race to represent California’s 20th Congressional District may divide Kern County’s Republican base.

Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux has scheduled an announcement Wednesday morning that may have a significant impact on the highly competitive race for CD-20, formerly held by Bakersfield Congressman Kevin McCarthy.

Boudreaux is expected to announce the endorsements of Kern County Sheriff Donny Youngblood and of Kern County state Senator Shannon Grove.

17 News asked Boudreaux for confirmation on the endorsement — he told us to attend his news conference tomorrow and that he could neither confirm nor deny.
