DAYTON, Ohio ( WDTN ) — Just days after a man was found guilty of the attempted abduction of her daughter, the mother of the little girl speaks about the experience.
On Feb. 9, 2 NEWS reported that Christopher McMahon was found guilty of one count of attempted abduction.
The incident occurred last August when Brittany Jenkins’s daughter Nylah was nearly taken from Riverscape Metropark in Dayton.
“I’m so blessed because I just fought so hard for this. You know what I mean? I did. I fought so hard for my girl. So I’m just happy that he’s guilty,” said Jenkins.

Investigators say McMahon approached the family, picked the little girl up off the swing, and tried to take off with her. A fight broke out between him and a family friend trying to get her back.
“She knows everything. She remembers everything. She talks about it. But I try not to talk about it as much. But when I did tell her we were coming up to Riverscape like she kind of knew,” said Jenkins.
