MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A man died in a crash Tuesday in Manatee County after a pickup truck crossed over the center line and hit a car head on, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at about 3:30 p.m. along State Road 62 east of Saffold Road, according to troopers.
A pickup truck was driving east on SR-62 and entered the westbound lane, crashing into a car traveling west, troopers said.
The 66-year-old man driving the car died at the scene of the crash, troopers said. The 37-year-old driver of the pickup truck had minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
