As of 9 p.m., donations were still being totaled, but by 7 p.m. Tuesday night the goal of $25,000 had already been topped.
“This telethon is really important to us. It’s one of our major fundraisers for the year, so it helps us to raise money to be able to care for more kids, not only in Erie, but our huge region… six states actually,” said Micheal Widrig, marketing and communications manager of Shriners Children’s Erie.
You can donate at Shriners Children’s Erie website until the end of the month.
