Virginia man sentenced to 15 years for drug and gun trafficking

ALEXANDRIA, Va. – An Alexandria man will spend the next 15 years in prison for conspiring to distribute fentanyl and possessing a firearm. Carrington Hammond, 29, worked with Arizona-based suppliers and local redistributors to sell large quantities of fentanyl in parts of Virginia, according to court documents. Hammond’s co-conspirators reportedly mailed packages containing tens of thousands of counterfeit pills across the country to Hammond.
