Easton Mayor Sal Panto Jr. on Tuesday night painted the city as continuing to rebound from the days of high drug-fueled crime and empty storefronts. In his annual state of the city address to the city council, Panto praised city employees and department leaders, as well as those investing in Easton – from the state and federal government to private developers. In laying out goals that include building more affordable housing, a skate park and a West Ward community center, Panto promised to be on the hunt for more outside investment beyond city tax dollars.
