TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A Clearwater man was arrested after video of a pickup truck driver vandalizing a LGBTQ+ pride installation on February 4 sparked outrage.
Dylan Brewer, 19, was accused of “intentionally performing multiple burnouts” in an intersection painted to look like the LGBTQ+ pride flag, according to Delray Beach police.

Several witnesses sent video to the police showing a dark-colored pickup truck – with what appears to be a flag supporting former President Donald Trump – leaving black marks across the intersection as its tires squealed.
“The reckless action caused significant damage to the streetscape painting, which serves as a symbol of unity and inclusivity for the LGBTQ community,” a news release from the City of Delray Beach stated.
Brewer turned himself in to Delray Beach police on Monday. He was charged with felony criminal mischief over $1,000 and reckless driving and booked into the Palm Beach County Jail.
