Toledo native’s unexpected birth to be featured on television show

She was enjoying a nice bike ride with her husband Tyler in December, 2012, when she started to feel a dull pain in her back.

Vanessa Kleeberger, who was 22 at the time, had no idea she was pregnant until she gave birth to her son, Landon, three days after that bike ride.

Mrs. Kleeberger, a Toledo native who lives in Metamora, Ohio, will be sharing her story on the Lifetime television show, “I Wasn’t Expecting a Baby,” at 10 p.m. Thursday.

Mrs. Kleeberger said network officials approached her after she went viral on social media for telling her story about Landon’s unexpected birthday.

“I had posted this reel about Landon in a [Instagram] story and it blew up,” she said. “It got 10.8 million views and I just got all of these followers. Within a couple of years, I had a casting director reach out to me and said, ‘Hey, we’re doing this show. … I would love to interview you and see if you’d be a good fit.’

“They came out [to our house] in October and we took a day to film,” she said. “They interviewed me, obviously, my brother-in-law, my mother-in-law, and then Landon. A couple of weeks ago, they [Lifetime] was like, ‘Hey your story is going to be on Lifetime in February.’ It’s just been like a whirlwind.”
