Georgia’s archery hunting community is buzzing with excitement as Grant Bailey’s Gwinnett County 10-pointer has been officially ranked as the No. 2 best-ever typical bow-kill in the state’s history. This remarkable achievement not only places Bailey’s buck at a prestigious position on the state’s leaderboard but also marks it as the best velvet typical ever taken with a bow in Georgia.
Grant Bailey, a seasoned archer with a passion for hunting, harvested the giant 10-pointer in Gwinnett County, an area within the Atlanta metropolitan region that’s not typically known for producing record-breaking bucks. The deer, which grossed an impressive 182 inches and netted 174 3/8 inches, was scored by official measurer Bobby Bond in Fort Valley, securing its place in Georgia’s hunting annals.
