Snowfall totals RI: How much snow fell in each town, according to readers, NWS

With the snow over, some parts of Rhode Island report receiving nearly a foot of snow.

The storm – which sparked parking bans , school closures , and led Gov. Dan McKee to ask people to stay off the roads – put the entire state under a winter storm warning for most of the day on Tuesday, ending around 4 p.m.

As expected, the most snow has fallen in the northwest corner of the state, according to NWS snowfall totals. A map is visible here.

As of 6 p.m. on Tuesday, the NWS reported these snowfall totals :

  • 10.5 inches in Scituate at 2:45 p.m.
  • 10.5 inches in Foster at 5:10 p.m.
  • 9.7 inches in Smithfield at 5:31 p.m.
  • 9 inches in Harrisville at 1:31 p.m.
  • 9 inches in Richmond at 1 p.m.
  • 8.5 inches in West Warwick at 3:40 p.m.
  • 7 inches in North Kingstown at 1 p.m.
  • 7 inches in Slatersville at 1 p.m.
  • 7 inches in West Greenwich at 1:21 p.m.
  • 6.8 inches in Coventry at 2:28 p.m.
  • 5.8 inches in Providence at 1 p.m.
  • 5.5 inches in Burrillville at 2:41 p.m.
  • 5.4 inches in Little Compton at 4:25 p.m.
  • 4 inches in Cumberland at 1:49 p.m.
  • 3.8 inches in Portsmouth at 1 p.m.
  • 3.7 inches in Westerly at 1:25 p.m.
  • 3.5 inches on Block Island at 12:11 p.m.
  • 3.5 inches in Lincoln at 11:32 p.m.
  • 3 inches in Pawtucket at 2:15 p.m.
