Making lobster pasta, good Italian restaurants in Delaware & more Lasagna Love

Good morning, Delaware food lovers. Happy Valentine’s Day. I hope you get some warm affection from a spouse, significant other, family member, close friend, or even a beloved pet.

Today also is Ash Wednesday, which marks the start of Lent. We did our annual round-up of area churches that are offering Friday Fish Fries. Most start this week. Here’s the list.

What I’m cooking 🦞

Looking for a quick, yet somewhat fancy meal tonight? Or do you abstain from eating meat on Fridays during Lent?

I saw a recipe for spicy lobster pasta on the Food Network show “The Kitchen” and adapted it for two people. But feel free to follow the link exactly as written.

The recipe, which serves four people, calls for making a tomato sauce with onions, garlic, red pepper flakes, a fresh chili and white wine. You then lay lobster tails in the sauce with the saucepan lid covered to cook the shellfish. Just before the fish is finished cooking, you remove it, take the meat from the shells, chop it up, and then put it back in the sauce that’s mixed with cooked pasta and some of the pasta water.
