Buy a blizzard, support Deputy Prorok’s family

MADISON, S.D. (KELO) — “Stuff like this and the support that our small communities give and when people in our need are, you know, you just don’t get that anywhere else,” said Hartford Dairy Queen Owner, Lonnie Heier.

Starting today, thirty percent of all blizzard sales at Hartford and Madison Dairy Queen locations will go toward the J.D. Prorok Trust Fund. This includes all blizzard flavors and sizes.

“Both of our communities were touched and they’re outgoing people and have a lot of friends. And so, it just has touched so many people, and especially our two communities. So, we just wanted to do something to try to help and ease the burden, a little bit of what they’re going through,” said Madison Dairy Queen Owner, DeLon Mork.

The friendship between the two Dairy Queen owners goes back several years and they’re always looking for ways to help others.

“Whenever there’s an opportunity that we think makes sense to cooperate together and try to raise funds and do something good for the community, we try to do that together because we can touch more folks and in in a bigger area,” said Mork.
