Good Samaritans help rescue dog who was abandoned

(SOUTHERN COLORADO) — The Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR) said two employees at a local business were able to save a dog after they watched someone leave the dog in a parking lot.

According to HSPPR, the two employees witnessed someone drop Granger off in a parking lot before leaving. Without hesitation, the two quickly snagged Granger, brought him to their business, and called Animal Law Enforcement (ALE).

ALE Officer Allen brought Granger back to HSPPR, and soon the two became best buds. HSPPR said Granger was so happy to be safe and with people he could trust that he could barely hold still for photos, and was extra generous with the kisses and wagging as his way of saying thank you.

And during this season of love, it appears that Granger was scooped up by someone who couldn’t resist him! HSPPR said Granger has already had a sign-up for adoption, and is on his way to his happily fur-ever after.
