(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said a city worker was injured in a crash that happened in the early morning of Wednesday, Feb. 14 in southeast Colorado Springs.
According to CSPD, on Wednesday, at around 9 a.m. officers were called to the intersection of East Platte Avenue and North Academy Boulevard about a crash. Police report that a city worker was injured in the crash while on the road placing road work signs.
The city worker was taken to the hospital with injuries. CSPD said the vehicle’s driver was cited on the scene for the crash. CSPD said westbound E. Platte Ave. was closed while investigators worked. The roadway was reopened at around 10:20 a.m.

The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) posted to social media around 10:30 a.m. that Westbound Platte Avenue at North Academy Boulevard is now open after an earlier crash.
