The migrant crisis is deepening every day, it seems, and the most recent news says that Denver is cutting its public services budget by $5 million to help cover the costs in their town.
WWL’s Newell Normand could hardly believe it.
The mayor “wants to provide all of their constituents with all of the services they deserve and the services they expect,” Normand said, adding the question is now ‘who are their constituents?’
If it continues, taxpayers will definitely suffer, so will hospitals and schools. Hospitals are overwhelmed with patients in Denver and there are now 45 students per average in a public school class.
And it’ll only get worse. “Who suffers? Of course you know who that is,” Normand said, adding taxpayers are now playing second fiddle to illegal immigrants.
The hyprocrisy is amazing, Normand said because Denver does not detain illegal immigrants and turn them over to authorities unless they have an arrest warrant.
“There are a lot of things they could do to make this easier,” Normand said, including detainment and deportation of people who are here illegally would be a great first step.
