- The Crimson Tide women’s tennis program welcomed Lea Bathellier . She’s won three ITF Junior Tournament singles title Championships and is experienced on the International Tennis Federation circuit.
- Two Alabama track and field athletes were honored by the Southeastern Conference as Athletes of the week. Ruben Banks earned the Male Field Athlete of the Week after setting the NCAA-leading mark in the men’s weight throw (23.88m | 78-4.25). Doris Lemingole earned the Female Co-Freshman of the Week after breaking an Alabama school record and clocking the second-fastest indoor collegiate women’s 5,000-meter run of all time (15:04.71).
- The Crimson Tide will be represented at the CONCACAF Women’s Soccer Gold Cup by Kennedy Garcia, Reyna Reyes and Riley Tanner. Garcia will represent Puerto Rico, Reyes will represent Mexico and Tanner will represent Panama. The Gold Cup will span from Saturday, Feb. 17 to Sunday, March 10.
