18-year-old from Wilson charged with murder after body found in Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — An 18-year-old from Wilson has been charged with murder after a body was found Wednesday morning, Myrtle Beach police said.

Everett Ellis of Wilson was arrested in the killing, according to police.

The body was found in the 1600 block of Plaza Place, which is off Osceola Street in the 10th Avenue area, a police spokesman said. The person’s identity was not immediately available.

A News13 reporter at the scene saw nearly a dozen police vehicles, including multiple police K-9 units.

Little River resident Brandon Tysinger told News13 he found the body at about 7 a.m. while he was on his way into the Sherwin-Williams store off Plaza Place. He said he saw the body on the ground before going into the store.
