Tracy Lawrence, a country music star and philanthropist, has donated $345,000 to local charities in Middle Tennessee through his Mission:Possible Foundation. The donations were made on February 14, 2024, to support organizations that help the homeless and hungry. Since its inception, the foundation has donated over $2.8 million.

Eight local organizations received the funds. These organizations, all working to combat homelessness in Middle Tennessee, include Journey Home, Project Return, Musically Fed, Dream Streets, Jesus Provisions Ministries, Laundry Stop, Monroe Harding, and Shower Up. Each received a portion of $80,000 in donations.

Mission:Possible also donated $15,000 to tornado relief funds. The Nashville Rescue Mission received the largest donation of $250,000. This donation was collected during Lawrence’s 2023 Turkey Fry and Benefit Concert. This annual event has provided over 86,000 meals to the homeless and raised over $1 million for the Nashville Rescue Mission.

The Turkey Fry and Benefit Concert is in its 18th year. It attracts hundreds of volunteers who cook turkeys and distribute meals during the Thanksgiving holiday. Past performers at the event include Tim McGraw, Luke Combs, Chris Young, Lainey Wilson, Justin Moore, and Cole Swindell.
