Will Virginia McDonald’s customers be willing to pay the “Mcflation” cost of $3.00 for a hash brown?

Mcflation at its worst at Mcdonalds

A few months ago I drove my brother to a local Virginia McDonald’s and when he heard the hash browns were $2.79 he said no thanks. I told him I recalled when hash browns potatoes at Mickey D’s were two for $1.00 and also seemed slightly larger than what is being offered today.

I was stunned that the price was close to 6 times higher and now it’s possible it actually will be. Fortune is reporting that “Mcflation” may indeed send them over $3.00. This means consumers will be paying for one hash brown potato the price they once paid for 6.

Yahoo News says customers across the nation are complaining that $3.00 is too much for one hash brown. The fast-food chain is blaming turmoil in the Middle East for its woes but customers are balking at the inflated price. Virginians who enjoy McDonald’s hash browns may soon have to decide if they are worth the Mcflation price or not.
