ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A registered sex offender accused of exposing himself in local grocery stores pleaded guilty Wednesday.
Paul Goodrell pleaded guilty to burglary as a sexually motivated felony , three counts of public lewdness , and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Under the plea agreement, he will be sentenced to seven years in prison and 15 years of post-release supervision for the felony charge. Sentences for the misdemeanor charges will run concurrently.
New orders of protection were issued for all children victimized by Goodrell in this case Wednesday as well.
Goodrell was arrested multiple times in December, accused of exposing himself to a child under the age of 12 in a Farmington Tops Market, touching himself in front of a 7-year-old boy and trying to lure him away from his guardians inside a grocery store, and following a family with young girls throughout a Walmart in Victor. He had been banned from all Walmart properties in 2021.
Goodrell’s sentencing is scheduled for April.
