Traffic stop on stolen truck ends in rollover crash near Woodland Hills Mall

TULSA, Okla. — A traffic stop on a stolen truck ended in a rollover crash Tuesday night, Tulsa Police say.

Police say around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday a stolen truck was spotted near Highway 169 and East 71st Street. Officers responded to the area and found the vehicle near the Woodland Hills mall, pulling the truck over at Cheesecake Factory.

As the officer approached the truck, the suspect drove off.

A chase followed and ended on South Memorial where the suspect swerved to miss a vehicle, veering off the road and rolling into a fence on the east side of Memorial.

Police say no other vehicles were involved in the collision.

The suspect, a juvenile male, was arrested and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police say charges will be filed for possession of stolen vehicle and eluding.
