AUGUSTA (WJBF) – The funeral arrangements for former Georgia State Senator Ed Tarver have been made.
According to the W.H. Mays Mortuary website , services will be held Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Gilbert-Lambuth Chapel on Paine College Campus.
Senator Edward Jerome Tarver will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Westover Memorial Park on Wheeler Road, with military honors.

Public visitation will be held Friday, February 16, 2024 from 7:30 to 8:30 pm at W.H. Mays Mortuary located at 1221 James Brown Boulevard.
Tarver, who represented the Augusta area in the Georgia State Senate and served as U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Georgia, died Friday, February 9th at the age of 64.
