A high-rise building under construction caught fire Wednesday in downtown West Palm Beach, police said.
A battalion chief with the West Palm Beach Fire Department said the fire, which was reported at about 11:40 a.m., occurred on the 15th floor of the One Flagler building.
A video sent to WPTV showed heavy black smoke coming from the building.
About 30 firefighters with the West Palm Beach Fire Department responded the the scene.
The fire has closed Lakeview Avenue westbound near the Royal Park Bridge. Northbound and southbound Flagler Drive is open.
However, there is heavy traffic in the area, and drivers should expect delays in the area.

Officials with the West Palm Beach Fire Department said the construction crews used a fire extinguisher to knock down the blaze. The battalion chief said the fire was extinguished by 12:30 p.m.
