You never know what you’re capable of until you’re challenged.
That attitude has served Bob Hogg well during his 82-and-a-half years. (“At 82, the half counts,” Hogg says.)
His latest challenge: Competing in his first-ever powerlifting competition recently in Salisbury. And Hogg did indeed rise to the challenge, breaking three Maryland state powerlifting records: for bench press, dead lift and total weight lifted.
“It was so much fun! Never ever did I think I could do this,” he said. “If it wasn’t for MAC, I would never have done this.”
“MAC is the main reason I’ve been able to do this,” said Hogg, a member of the Richard A. Henson Wellness Center gym for the last seven years, where he works with a personal trainer twice a week. He especially appreciated the encouragement of gym and other MAC staff.
