Wind Advisory Issued for All of Western New York

The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a wind advisory for all of Western New York, beginning Thursday afternoon. The advisory begins at 2:00 PM for Chautauqua and Erie counties and 4:00 PM for Cattaraugus County, and will run until 7:00 AM Friday for the region. Forecasters are expecting westerly winds 25-35 MPH with gusts up 50 MPH. Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down, and a few isolated power outages may result. Travel in high-profile vehicles may be difficult.
