Man’s body found in L.A. River

A man’s body was found Wednesday in the Los Angeles River in the Boyle Heights area, and an investigation was underway.

The body was discovered at about 6:25 a.m. near Seventh Street and Santa Fe Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department and the Los Angeles Police Department.

Information was not immediately available on the man’s identity or cause of death.
