Standoff situation underway in Lebanon

LEBANON, Tenn. (WKRN) — A large police presence is in a Lebanon neighborhood Thursday morning due to a standoff situation.

The situation began in the West End Station neighborhood on Lebanon Road around 2 a.m.

Lebanon police reported a suspect wanted from Nashville is barricaded inside a home. The suspect is wanted on two counts of aggravated kidnapping and one for aggravated burglary, according to Lebanon police.

Residents are asked to stay inside.

Officers are using a nearby daycare, The Learning Zone of Lebanon, as a staging center and it will be closed Thursday.

At 7 a.m., Lebanon police said the barricade situation is ongoing and is contained to one residence. Evacuations are underway on a street in the neighborhood.
