Richmond man dead after crashing into jersey wall on Chippenham Parkway in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A man is dead after crashing into the jersey wall on Chippenham Parkway in Chesterfield shortly after midnight on Thursday, Feb. 15, according to Virginia State Police.

According to police, 52-year-old Ronald Fountain of Richmond was driving a 2005 Honda Accord on Chippenham Parkway. At 1:04 a.m., he reportedly ran off the right side of the roadway and hit the jersey wall.

Fountain was taken to the hospital, where he later died. According to police, he was not wearing a seatbelt.

The crash remains under investigation by Virginia State Police.
