Less than a month ago, the word went out that Cotija Cheese was being recalled by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), due to the possible Listeria Monocytogenes Contamination. The recall was instigated by Rizo Lopez Foods, Inc. of Modesto, California and was focused mainly on the Aged Cojita Mexican Grating Cheese product. More information on that recall, click here.
