The Idaho Senate is considering a new bill that would prohibit diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) positions and offices in higher education, it announced Tuesday. Sponsored by the Education Committee, the new legislation would establish the Higher Education Fairness Act and “protects the Constitutional right to equal protection under the law in Idaho’s institutions for higher education,” according to its statement of purpose.
