( WJET/WFXP )– A Cambridge Springs man has been arrested after police discovered he was allegedly in possession of a firearm after state police responded to a report of possible abuse between a father and daughter.
According to PSP Meadville, troopers were called to a residence in Rockdale Twp. for a report of possible abuse between a father and daughter on Feb. 7 around 3:42 p.m.

State police said they were familiar with the father who is also a convicted felon not legally permitted to possess firearms.
During their investigation, police said the unnamed father was in possession of a .22 caliber bolt action rifle and placed him under arrest.

The rifle has since been seized and the father is being held in the Crawford County Jail pending arraignment.
