Suspect sought in 2018 shooting that killed 1, wounded 4

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Charges were filed this week against a 25-year-old man accused in a shooting that killed one person and wounded four others in Bakersfield in 2018 .

Police are searching for Christopher Nathaniel Kenney, who faces one count of murder, four counts of attempted murder, two counts of shooting at an inhabited dwelling and two firearm-related offenses. He’s not listed in custody and no court hearings have been scheduled.

The charges were filed Tuesday.

According to a probable cause declaration, on Sept. 23, 2018, Kenney and an unidentified person shot and killed Jeremy Charles Littlejohn outside of an open garage on Chandler Court, south of Wilson Avenue and west of Wible Road. Four others suffered injuries that ranged from minor to major, police said.

Kenney is 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs around 180 pounds, according to Bakersfield police. He has black hair, brown eyes and multiple tattoos.
