The owners of Elemi announced they are having a soft opening at their new location, 13500 Eastlake Blvd. The entrance is shared with Champion Car Wash next door.
The soft opening takes place the week of Feb. 11. However, the new location is fully booked but might have minimal walk-in service.
The restaurant’s arrival is exciting for Eastsiders who had to trek to Downtown El Paso for its original location. That location closed in October.
“We never anticipated being fully booked for the first week of our soft opening! Gracias, El Paso! We hope you love our new little casita,” the business posted on social media.
Elemi owner Chef Emiliano Marentes has cemented himself as one of El Paso’s best chefs with his simple but superb Mexican cuisine. His tacos are made with tortillas made in the restaurant.
He was also a 2023 James Beard Foundation Award finalist. He was also a finalist in 2022.
The new restaurant will feature some new menu items and drinks, so we’ll check them out.
Hours: 5 to 10 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, 5 to 11 p.m. Fridays, and 3 to 11 p.m. Saturdays.
