Oklahoma Humane Society clinics get bigger space

OKLAHOMA CITY ( KFOR ) – The Oklahoma Humane Society (OK Humane) spay and neuter clinic, in-house clinic and administrative offices have relocated to a larger space in a move they say will increase service offerings by an estimated 25% in 2024.

OK Humane officials say the clinic has been performing approximately 14,000 spay and neuter surgeries and 5,000 wellness visits (annual vaccines and preventatives) each year.

With the new location at 4301 Will Rogers Parkway in Oklahoma City and the hiring of an additional veterinarian, surgery numbers are expected to increase by 3,500+ in 2024.

“We have been booked several months out for spay and neuter services this past year, and we’re excited to reduce that wait time and ultimately reduce the number of homeless cats and dogs on our streets,” said Mark Eby, OK Humane’s President & CEO. “There is an obvious need right now for pet owners to have access to low-cost veterinary care, so being able to offer additional low-cost spay/neuter surgeries to the public is a two-fold success; we’re helping people care for their pets and also reducing the homeless cat and dog population community-wide.”
