Image of car involved in hit-and-run that injured Knoxville pedestrian released

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The Knoxville Police Department has released surveillance video of the car that was involved in a hit-and-run on Sunday in the Old City that left a woman injured.

KPD shared that a silver sedan struck and seriously injured a woman S. Central Street near Willow Avenue around 2:50 a.m. Sunday. The vehicle fled on Jackson Avenue before turning onto Summit Hill Drive.

The victim was taken to UT Medical Center, where she was treated for her injuries.
