Female inventor making waves for moms in Spokane and around the world

SPOKANE, Wash. – February is National Women Inventors Month, and one Washington woman is making game-changing products for moms everywhere.

Lisa Myers is the founder of Ceres Chill, a company that’s making breastfeeding and formula feeding more convenient. Myers was born and raised in Deer Park.

Ceres Chill’s signature product is a patented chiller that keeps milk cold for 20+ hours without refrigeration.

Just 4% of all-female teams successfully secure utility patents. Myers is one of the 4%.

Myers launched Ceres Chill when returning to a male-dominated law firm shortly after becoming a mom. She faced breastfeeding challenges of her own and wanted to eliminate that concern for parents.

“It’s helping women who are long-haul truck drivers, women who are pediatric neurosurgeons in the operating room. It’s a really big deal because it’s literally changing the game and helping moms live incredible lives,” said Myers.

The Ceres Chill warehouse is located in Spokane Valley. This is where distribution of the products takes place. The warehouse is run by women and brings jobs to many Spokane residents.
