Known for providing medical services for pregnant women in crisis, the senior director of the women’s care center wants expecting and new moms to know that the center provides so much more.
“When you can meet with people who care about her, genuinely care about her being, her mental health, her physical health, her emotional health,” said Brenda Newport, senior director of the Women’s Care Center.
Over the last 40 years, the center’s programs have expanded to include “stepping stones.” The program teaches new parents basic skills like diapering and feeding. It also teaches them how to deal with daily stress.
