Doylestown, Pennsylvania – Michael Phillip Martelli, 31, of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, finds himself facing charges of deceptive business practices following his arrest on February 14, 2024. Martelli, the proprietor of Martelli’s Construction Company, is accused of failing to fulfill a contract with Penn Tap Room for window replacement, despite receiving a substantial deposit.

The contract, finalized on February 23, 2023, involved an agreement for Martelli to replace windows at the Penn Tap Room, located at 80 W. State Street in Doylestown. The owner of Penn Tap Room provided Martelli with a deposit of $9,688, anticipating the commencement of the agreed-upon work. However, as of February 8, 2024, no work has been completed on the project, and Martelli has reportedly been unresponsive to attempts at communication.

In light of these allegations, Martelli was arraigned with bail set at $10,000 unsecured, after which he was released. It’s important to note that criminal charges are mere allegations, and Martelli, like all defendants, is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
