SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — On Wednesday, Feb. 14, two Syracuse police officers were sent to a domestic disturbance in at the 200 block of Ostrander Avenue.

The officers were told that 50-year-old Willie Jones had allegedly threatened his stepdaughter with a possible firearm during an altercation.
At the scene, police were able to get the suspect in their patrol car and establish a perimeter around the home. Syracuse Police say Jones initially resisted but was eventually apprehended.
Police were able to obtain a search warrant, where they found a knotted bag containing crack cocaine, numerous rounds of live ammunition, a Rock River AR-style rifle, a Sentry safe, and a Beretta M9A1 9mm semi-automatic handgun inside the home.
Jones was taken to the Onondaga County Justice Center and faces multiple felonies. He was charged with:
- Two counts of Criminal Possession of a Firearm
- Two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree
