Man found shot to death at Antioch warehouse

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — An investigation is underway after a man was found shot to death at a distribution facility in Antioch.

Officers were called to a warehouse in the 2900 block of Old Franklin Road just after midnight.

Metro police said a manager arrived at the facility and found a trail of blood from a vehicle leading into the building.

Inside the building, the manager reportedly found a man, later identified as 34-year-old Steven Yates of Mt. Juliet, dead from a gunshot wound to his leg. Investigators believe Yates was an employee at the distribution facility.

He was likely shot inside a car in the parking lot before he walked back inside, police said. Detectives were continuing to investigate a potential drug motive Thursday.

No additional details were immediately released.
