Kalamazoo spends $1M to start ‘Social Equity Cannabis Chamber’

KALAMAZOO, MI — The city of Kalamazoo plans to use tax revenue generated by recreational marijuana sales to support cannabis education and job training for residents. Earlier this month, the City Commission approved a $900,000, three-year contract with Detroit Cannabis Project to establish a “Social Equity Cannabis Chamber” in the city.
