Oregon Picks up New Recruiting Prediction to Land All-American Safety

Oregon’s 2025 recruiting class ranks No. 12 nationally according to 247Sports after landing a commitment from Concord (Calif.) De La Salle EDGE Matthew Johnson last week. He’s the fifth verbal commitment for Dan Lanning and the first pledge on the defensive side of the ball.

Now it looks like the Ducks are in good standing with yet another blue chip recruit. On Wednesday, 247Sports National Recruiting Analyst Tom Loy logged a prediction for 2025 Pittsburg (Calif.) safety Jadyn Hudson to commit to Oregon.

Hudson is listed at 6’2″, 175 pounds and is an Adidas All-American Bowl selection. He’s rated a four-star (0.9555) recruit by the 247Sports Composite. The same system ranks him the No. 96 player nationally, the No. 8 safety and the No. 10 recruit in California.

He’s been to Eugene multiple times, but his last trip to campus was in the Fall to take in Oregon’s 42-6 win over the Colorado Buffaloes.

The direction the program is heading is one of the main things that has peaked his interest.
