UCCS campus on lockdown Friday morning following a shooting, at least 1 dead

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – The University of Colorado, Colorado Springs campus was on lockdown Friday morning. Details on when the lockdown was put in place were not immediately available, but campus police told KKTV they were asking the public to avoid the campus. Colorado Springs Police say that it was tied to a call for shots fired. Police say it is a homicide investigation and at least one person is dead. As of 8 a.m. the shelter-in-place alert for the campus was still in place.
