COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KRDO) — According to the Colorado Springs Police Department there is now an ongoing death investigation on the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs campus.
According to the UCCS public safety’s X account, Alpine Village is now under lockdown but there is no active shooter. All students not in that area can leave the campus at this point but officials do not want movement in Alpine Village. The campus has also been closed for the day.
The Alpine village area includes San Juan, La Plata, Crestone, Antero, and Shavano along with Roaring Fork.
The UCCS Police are instructing students to lock their doors, turn off the lights, and move away from sight. They are also instructed to “Evade/Defend”.
