The Albuquerque Police Department’s (APD) Homicide Unit has identified 26 murder suspects in the first six weeks of 2024. Of these, 24 have been arrested, one has died, and one remains at large. APD Chief Harold Medina credits the department’s detective academies and restructured investigative units for this achievement. He states that the homicide rate has declined and most cases are being resolved.

The APD has released a list detailing the dates, locations, and suspects of the homicides. One suspect’s identity remains undisclosed due to a sealed warrant. The list includes both 2024 homicides and those from previous years that were solved in 2024.

The 2024 homicides took place at various locations including Bogart St., Lomas Blvd., Palomas Dr., Central Ave., and Constitution Ave. The suspects include Christopher Facey, Kerri Santos, Austin Bing, Christina Pena-Cantor, James Welch, Roberta Martinez, Ethan Sheppard, Antonio Secatero, Jesus Secatero, and the deceased Robert Shroyer III.

Homicides from previous years, solved in 2024, occurred at locations such as Charleston NE, Endee Rd., Stardust Skies Park, Tennessee St., and Valencia. The suspects for these cases include Andrew Ramirez, three juveniles, Marco Martza, Daisy Ortiz, Santos Veronica, Francisco Rodriguez, Dominic Baca, Elton Gastelum, Johnny Lopez, Lawrence Ramirez-Casiquito, and Nathan Henson.
