RALEIGH, N.C. (WBTV) – Anyone headed into work, school or just about anywhere else during the morning commute is likely to see litter on the side of the road. Litter is a dirty problem and it costs taxpayers a lot of money in North Carolina. An upcoming project, the NC Department of Transportation’s (NCDOT) Litter Sweep, is aimed at cleaning it up, but comes with a big price tag.
