Chicago police issue warning amidst string of business burglaries on South, Southwest Side, reminds owners guidelines to keep business safe
Chicago’s South and Southwest Sides have been rocked by a series of burglaries, prompting a warning from the Chicago Police Department (CPD) to local businesses. The incidents occurred between February 1st and 12th in the neighborhoods of Brighton Park, Fuller Park, and Back of the Yards.
In each burglary, perpetrators gained entry through windows or doors, proceeding to steal property from within the premises. The exact number of thieves involved remains unknown, adding to the urgency of the situation 1.

- February 1st, around 5:10 a.m.: 3000 block of West 47th Street in Brighton Park
- February 4th, around 2:02 a.m.: 400 block of West 47th Street in Fuller Park
- February 12th, around 12:31 a.m.: 2500 block of West 47th Street in Brighton Park
- Between February 10th and 12th, between 8 p.m. and 9:20 a.m.: 1100 block of West 47th Street in Back of the Yards
- February 11th, around 12:20 a.m.: 4500 block of South Ashland Avenue in Back of the Yards 2.
