Wichita community leaders address problem with youth violence in wake of KC shooting

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Two people detained in connection with Wednesday’s mass shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl celebration are teenagers, the Kansas City, Mo. police chief confirmed. A third person originally detained has since been released after it was determined they were not involved. The violence that resulted in a woman’s death and injury to nearly two dozen more sparked outrage and a broader conversation about what’s needed to stop it.
