‘Taser Face’ can police in Tennessee after MPD withdraws its decertification request

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A former Memphis police officer who earned the nickname “Taser Face” after he excessively used his Taser multiple times can police in Tennessee. The Memphis Police Department had asked the state to decertify Colin Berryhill back in 2021, which if granted, would have banned him from policing in the Volunteer State, but the department withdrew that request at a state hearing Thursday.
