Man hit by train in Robeson County, flown to Myrtle Beach hospital, police say

PEMBROKE, N.C. (WBTW) — A 24-year-old man was flown to a hospital Thursday evening after being hit by a train in Pembroke in Robeson County, police said.

It happened at the intersection of Main Street and Fourth Street, Police Chief Adrian Hunt said.

The man, whose name was not released, was airlifted to Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, Hunt said. Information about his condition was not immediately available.

The incident remains under investigation.
